Fraud Protection

We use a process for all of our VISA^® Debit Cardholders, designed to monitor unusual activity on your VISA^® Debit Card in an effort to protect you against fraud.

This process evaluates your purchase history and fraud patterns to identify uncharacteristic activity on your card. If fraud is detected, you will be contacted directly by a member of our support team. If unable to reach you, depending on the activity that has occurred, you card may be deactivated.

For this process to work effectively we ask you do the following:

1. Make sure F&M Bank always has a current phone number for you. We can add multiple phone numbers to the system.
2. If you will be going out of state or out of the country for a period of time, it is very important to alert us to the dates you will be gone.
